THE STORY
This story begins with a prayer. At the beginning of 2014, Erin Rollins, a single, 29-year-old recent grad school graduate, reads Francis Chan’s book Crazy Love and is left pondering the question, “When was the last time you got on your knees and begged God for someone’s soul?” Feeling inspired, Erin prays. She realizes she wants more out of life than the “American Dream.” Above all, she wants her life to make an impact. She wants to help others and leave a legacy behind. Erin prays a series of prayers, never realizing how the answers to her prayers will change her entire life.

After seven months of asking God, “What is it going to take for [these] things to happen,” she hears God say, “Erin, something tragic is going to happen and it’s going to happen to you.” A bit taken aback, but knowing she needs to surrender, Erin looks to the sky and makes one request: “God do whatever you have to do, just do NOT take my life.”
